The world’s cutest pollinator! Witch bees, or mason bees, are native to chalk grasslands in the UK. They lay their eggs in abandoned snail shells and then disguise them with long grasses and small branches they carry back to the nest. When carrying the shelter materials they look like they’re riding on broomsticks, hence the nickname: witch bee.
Of course, all witches need the perfect hat.
